I have been using this USB C to USB Hub 4 Ports device for nearly a year and recently bought another one! It is well made and I love the fact that they included an adapter to accommodate regular USB for older laptops.When I finally upgraded my laptop all of my new machine ports were USB C, but all of my webcams and mouse dongles were USB. This single item helps me use the old machine with the existing devices and quickly switch to the new machine. Perfect for my needs.Very nice product, plug and play, it works really great !!!I purchased this adaptor over a year ago and it worked great. A few weeks ago it started to short out & would only work when I'd position it certain ways and I got nervous that it may have ruined my USB-C ports on my MacBook. I purchased another one because I like that it has ONLY 4 USB Ports (no HDMI's/SD Ports) and realized that it was just an issue with my old port because my new one works perfectly fine!Exactly as described and sturdy. Very durableNeeded to have options for legacy USB to connect to USB C…..and needed to be such that it did not interfere with the computer ports. This fits the bill nicely. Good material, quality cable, very satisfied with product and sellerThis gets the job done with slower speeds for data. It lasted 7 months and then just stopped. You get what you pay for is the lesson hereExactly what I’d ordered and precisely what I’d needed. Would def recommend.When the need arose for a multi usb hub for my MacBook Pro I had no worries ordering this Syntech item as I have several of their other products.I use it mostly to connect my USB 3.0 linked music hardware to my MacBook which has the USB-C connection.The additional USB3.0 to USB-C connector allows me to connect my phone to the hub and therefore my MacBook at the same time. It will also enable me to still use this hub when I buy another piece of hardware that has a USB-C connection.It’s important these hubs are not bulky near the connector as I still need to be able to charge my MacBook at the same time. The product is very lightweight and I have no worries as to it’s ability to withstand daily use. The cable is long enough not to dangle at the side and short enough that it is not getting tangled up with the hardware.It’s important to note that you cannot charge items from this hub as it is for data transmission and does not support fast charging. At most you can charge a mobile but it is very slowly which is confirmed in the little booklet that is enclosed.I’ve attached some pictures of the box, the booklet and how it looks attached to the MacBook.This is a good starter adapter but I think if you need more things like HDMI port, sd card slot then look for a different one. I got this after buying a macbook and realising that there's zero USB ports on it! The adapter was perfect and worked straight away. It's lightweight and fits nicely in my laptop bag. I've had it for about 3 months now, and no issues at all but I've since replaced it for a 9 in 1 adapter as my needs have now changed and I need a variety of ports. Definitely a good buy!Item arrived packaged in an environmentally friendly way. It has a very premium feel to it, which looks nice with my setup.It was plug and play as described, and I even tested it on my phone in which it worked too!I have 3 peripherals connected to it and as a result, it has freed up space on my laptop built-in ports. All items I have connected to it have worked full speed, including the RGB mice and keyboard.Overall very happy with the product, especially considering the price, and would recommend to anyone looking for a high speed USB hub.Inserted the adapter into a rear ps5 3.0 port (expecting the 4 3.0 ports to become usable as 3.0’s), my ps extended harddrive was not recognised in any of the 4 inputs, and was giving the instruction ‘to use a 3.0 port’. I can only assume the 4 ports are not 3.0 bcos they were not accepted. Plz adviseThis is very poor quality. After 6 months of use it is broken. It sporadically disconnects the hard drives plugged into it without 'ejecting them' first. This is now too risky to use with my hard drives, as they contain valuable photos/videos/documents/files.I want a refund (as this is within a standard 12 month warranty), however I cannot see how I can contact the seller.I would advise - if you value what is in your hard drives (if it is hard drives that you will be using this for) - then do not try to save money with this cheap USB adaptor.
